DVD Eye, The
Panorama Special Edition

image

Same image as on the standard DVD: quite sharp for a 4/3, but with an average compression. It's not very disturbing on a small screen, but be careful if you have a big 16/9 TV or a projector. Except that, it's very clean, with vivid colors.

sound

The 5.1 track is back, allowing those who don't have a DTS AV Amplifier to watch the movie in good conditions. This track isn't as striking as the DTS one, but still make a huge difference with the stereo track.

subtitles

Some mistakes, but overall it's a good job.

special features

The special features are the same as on the korean DVD: a subtitled making of, with trailer, bio and filmographies. This documentary is quite informative about the movie, even if too commercial. There is also a short documentary about the SFX. The bio/filmos are okay.

menus

Nice animated menus, with a nice package (with hologram cover).

quality/price ration

Those willing to see the movie in the best conditions will have to pick the korean DVD, whose DTS ES track and 16/9 image make the difference. However, if you are not so regarding about that and still want some special feature, pick this DVD, it's an interesting compromise with between the cheaper HK DVD and the more expensive korean one.
