Project Description: "ETHAN MAO" is a thriller/drama about a gay 18-year-old Asian American boy who gets kicked out of his parents' house, returns to rob his family and ends up holding them hostage before ultimately accepting himself.

[MIKE] 19, PROTAGONIST LEAD, Ethan's best friend, any ethnic (Latino or Filipino American especially encouraged). Cool, boyish and handsome with an edge. A streetwise gay hustler and drug dealer for crystal and E.
[ABRAHAM], 40s to 50s, LEAD, Ethan's dad, Asian American. A solemn, somewhat spineless and quietly hardworking man with a dark edge.
[SARAH], young looking 40s, LEAD, Ethan's stepmom, Asian American. Beautiful, mature but well-preserved. Uppity and sweetly manipulative.
